NEW YORK, NY, January 18, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lynn Paul has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a career spanning over 52 years, Ms. Paul has established herself as a formidable presence in the realm of information technology consulting and financial systems. As a general partner at Alon Miller Associates, Ms. Paul has demonstrated unwavering dedication to her profession. Her expertise encompasses financial support for information technology and software development, back office support services, client reporting and establishing performance measurement systems. Her tenure at Alon Miller Associates began in 1971 and continues to this day, where she remains an active force despite approaching her 85th birthday. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Paul notably provided free assistance to states struggling with outdated programming languages.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Paul co-founded Alon Miller Associates and served as its general partner since its inception. Her professional journey includes valuable experiences with NERA Economic Consulting Inc., where she worked for two years; Planning Research Company for three years; and the Federal System Division at IBM from 1962 to 1966. Notably, during her time at IBM, she became the first woman among a group of 35 men in the federal system division — a significant milestone given that women were predominantly situated in the commercial sector at that time. Ms. Paul also contributed her talents to The White House during President John F. Kennedy's administration and played a role in his presidential campaign.

Ms. Paul's contributions have had a lasting impact on global financial infrastructure. She was instrumental in developing software for the SEC, NASDAQ, multiple brokerage firms and exchanges around the world. Her achievements are a testament to her exceptional skill set and pioneering spirit in a field traditionally dominated by men.

The foundation of Ms. Paul's success can be traced back to her academic pursuits. She earned a master's degree in mathematics from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Manhattanville College in 1960. The values instilled by her family — her father, an independent artist; her mother, an entrepreneur; and her grandmother, a government stenographer — shaped her work ethic and character. This upbringing laid the groundwork for her professional achievements and her ongoing curiosity about artificial intelligence and innovative program development.

Ms. Paul's entry into information technology consulting was driven by a realization during her college years that education was not her calling. Instead, she embraced technology at IBM and found herself involved in the development of computer languages like COBOL with Grace Hopper and projects across various industries, including defense, space exploration, oceanography, security, medicine, finance and environmental studies. Her broad experience allowed her to influence the evolution of multiple professions through computer technology.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Paul is actively involved with an international foundation as a volunteer, offering support to patients recently diagnosed with health challenges similar to those she has overcome herself. Her involvement with this foundation reflects her commitment to giving back to the community.

Embracing the philosophy that passion breeds success, Ms. Paul enjoys diverse interests such as theater, skiing, investing as a financial advisor and horseback riding, having completed the entire Colorado trail over five years. Inspired by many who admire her legacy, she plans to author a book detailing her experiences in the computer industry while continuing to travel and support charitable causes she believes in.

Ms. Paul's distinguished career has also been recognized through membership in a prominent organization for professional women in New York during the 1980s, serving as a testament to her role as a trailblazer for women in professional spheres. Her mentorship has paved the way for countless individuals who have since risen to leadership roles across various industries thanks to her guidance and expertise.
