"Overcoming adversity and courage to remain optimistic when faced with obstacles in life is what makes us unstoppable as human beings. Growing up with speech impediments (stuttering) created the fear of public speaking and I remember being uncomfortable answering questions in class that I knew answers to. My journey of overcoming adversity made me realize that I am the one and I am uniquely me. From raising my hands to speak in class, serving as student body president and debating ideas, teaching students as an AmeriCorps member, to facilitating national dialogue as a campaign director are all acts of courage to move forward despite fear. My passion for servant leadership, advocacy for social justice and change, and inspiring people to live their lives to the fullest potential outshine the fear of public speaking. Share your gifts with the world and inspire others into action for the betterment of their lives and society. I urge someone somewhere to ignore the inner critic and naysayers with limiting beliefs. You are the one and you are uniquely you." - Francis Kalombo Ngoy.
