Also dedicated to civil advocacy, he has served as a volunteer attorney advisor for the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Workers Rights Committee (formerly the Employment Justice Center) since 2015. Through that work, Mr. Rifkind has further expanded the scope of his practice to representing workers in individual rights cases, such as wage theft and whistleblower retaliation. He also lends his expertise as a steering committee member and volunteer teacher for the District of Columbia Workplace Street Law Project, which is co-sponsored by the D.C. Bar and Georgetown Law School.
Mr. Rifkind earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Boston University in 1984, Summa Cum Laude, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 1987. He is a member of the District of Columbia bar association.
