With more than two decades of excellence in managing operations for the design, construction, management and maintenance of facilities in the entertainment industry, Mr. Sears has earned distinction as the vice president of facilities operations for Paramount Global. Since 2022, he has focused his efforts on leading renovation design efforts as a broadcaster for premium projects while upgrading the facilities to improve the day-to-day operations of the buildings' systems. Additionally, Mr. Sears regularly engages in project meetings to discuss design, scheduling and budgeting for architectural renovations or major projects.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Sears began his career as an engineering clerk for Turner Construction in 2001, after which he became an equipment and field engineer for the Consolidated Edison Co. of New York in 2002. He continued his career as a project manager for facilities design and constructor for the CBS Corporation in 2006, managing an annual capital budget of more than $20 million while planning the implementation of a multi-phased floor renovation for the Hard News Center. Following this time, he served as a senior business support analyst for real estate and general services at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 2010, leading a full floor renovation to enable the markets division to upgrade its equipment and drive team expansion.

Mr. Sears worked as the director of system engineering for HBO in 2011, where he was able to increase the reliability and power efficiency of their facilities. He also created a production media center for the company, optimizing their office workflows and reducing delivery times. He subsequently served as a project manager for JRM Construction Management LLC in 2014 until taking a role as the director of facilities operations for CBS Television Networks in 2018. In 2019, he transitioned to a new role as the vice president of facilities operations for ViacomCBS, managing the operations and safety for the CBS Broadcast Center, the Ed Sullivan Theater, the Cloud Control Center and the Viacom Network Ops Center. He is most proud of his renovation work for the Ed Sullivan Theater, as it was a particular challenge to perform the extensive historical restoration work within the theater, including the 3D-modeling for the architectural dome.

Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Sears is gratified to have been featured in "Building Behind the Cameras" by American Builders Quarterly in 2019. He was also recognized as a Stern Scholar and received the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence from New York University. In addition, Mr. Sears was a valued advisor for the Mercy College Customer Experience Certificate Program in 2022/2023 and is continuing his advisor role in 2023 for the Shenandoah University Engineering Leadership Program.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Sears earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master of Engineering in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Following these achievements, he attained a Master of Business Administration in finance, economics and business analytics from the New York University Stern School of Business in 2014. Well-qualified in his field, he is a certified professional engineer via the State of New York.

Looking to the future, Mr. Sears intends to advance his career and attain a senior vice president position. He is also looking forward to the potential relocation or full-scale renovation of the broadcast center, a significant undertaking he is passionate about engaging in to successfully recreate their studios and technical spaces in a new environment.
