Alpana Mittal Tejaswini has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Ms. Tejaswini won Best in Show from the Hudson Artists of New Jersey in 2013 and was awarded in the Oil and Acrylic Category at the Hudson Artists of New Jersey 61st Annual Exhibition in 2014.

    BAYONNE, NJ, February 01, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alpana Mittal Tejaswini has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than three decades of excellence in fine arts in multiple media, Ms. Tejaswini has earned distinction as an art curator for Pro Arts JC. Since 2017, she has focused her efforts on illustrating a children's book on commission while handling various duties for the Pro Arts Jersey City professional membership community. She is best known for her works using beads on canvas, utilizing a toy for children to create mature artwork with influences from Asia. Her art is centered on the modernization of traditional themes such as ancient Indian romanticism, folklores and legends. Additionally, she has been a fine artist with her own studio, Tejaswini Art, since 2006.

While developing her present roles, Ms. Tejaswini served as a board member and membership co-chair for Pro Arts JC from 2019 until 2023 and was co-vice president in 2022. She also lent her expertise as a visual artist for Sing for Hope in 2019, for which she was honored with an award for Outstanding Service. She was also referred by Sing for Hope for a three-month solo show at Serendipity Lab, New York Financial District, in 2019.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Tejaswini has shown her art numerous times and had her writings featured in several publications, including writing "What's a Cinquain? ProArts yearbook 2021," "Spotlight" for Contemporary Art Magazine and co-authoring "Bold strokes: A look back at the best NJ art shows of 2022" for NJArts.net, among other works. Most recently, her work was featured in "Art Chateau, International Artworks and Poems" for Art Chateau Germany in 2023. She also held solo exhibitions in a Jewish Community Center in Bayonne, New Jersey in 2016, at NJ Arya Samaj in 2019 and in Artfront Galleries Newark in 2020. She was also recognized for a piece as the largest artwork using peg boards and fusion beads by the India Book of Records in 2022. Her work, inspired by the theme "Only One Earth," was selected by Rockefeller Center The Flag Project (in partnership with the Climate Museum and the United Nations Environment Programme) out of hundreds of responses as one of 93 to be produced as one-of-a-kind flags and flown from April 1 to May 1, 2002 around the rink in New York City.

Since 2017, Ms. Tejaswini has shown her work through the non-profit organization Drawing Rooms-Victory Hall in Jersey City, NJ. Curator James Pustorino has featured her work in a solo lobby show every year. This local organization has supported artists for many years. her work has also been shown at the Nassau Museum on Long Island, NY; the Crocker Museum in Sacramento, CA; and the Theresa A. Meloney Art Gallery at St Elizabeth University in New Jersey.

Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Tejaswini won Best in Show from the Hudson Artists of New Jersey in 2013 and was awarded in the Oil and Acrylic Category at the Hudson Artists of New Jersey 61st Annual Exhibition in 2014. She was honored with a Certificate of Artistic Merit from the Luxembourg Art Prize in 2020 and 2021, a Special Recognition from the Light Space and Time Online Art Gallery in 2021 and 2022, and was a featured artist for the Circle Foundation for the Arts, UK in 2023, among many other awards.

To prepare for her creative career, Ms. Tejaswini earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut in India in 1987. Following this achievement, she attained a master's degree in economics in 1989 and a Bachelor of Education in secondary education and teaching in 1991, both also from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. She subsequently gained a Master of Fine Arts from the same institution in 2001 and gained a certification in arts administration from New York University in 2010. Looking to the future, Ms. Tejaswini wants to create a mural with her bead art for more prominent venues, and work on creating a museum featuring artwork created with waste material.
