Before his present role, Mr. DeMaio served as a portfolio service specialist for Merrill Lynch in 1994 and became a senior investment specialist for Credit Suisse Asset Management in 2000. Following this time, he was a SMA wholesaler for Morgan Stanley Investment Management as well as an external wholesaler for VanKampen in 2005, taking a role as a complex business development officer for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2010. He continued his career as a regional director for WisdomTree Asset Management in 2011 and served in a similar role for IndexIQ/Mainstay in 2015.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. DeMaio earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. Eminently qualified in his field, he is certified in Series 63 and Series 7 by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) offered in conjunction with the
Investments & Wealth Institute formerly IMCA and the Wharton School of Business. He is particularly proud of his highly accomplished children, including his son, Nico DeMaio, who is known as the backbone of their company, and his daughter, Jenna DeMaio, who has established her own celebrity wardrobe styling business in Los Angeles.
