Dr. Fallon is renowned for his expertise as a pathologist and educator who began his medical career at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1974. Pivoting to higher education, Dr. Fallon taught pathology courses at Harvard University, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and New York Medical College. Additional educational pursuits to his credit include anatomic pathology residency, a National Institutes of Health public health service postdoctoral fellowship in pathology, a clinical and research fellowship in pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and a second clinical fellowship in pathology at Harvard University. Dr. Fallon also received board certification in anatomic pathology through the American Board of Pathology. In 2023, he completed several professional courses in artificial intelligence and occupational safety through LinkedIn.
Continually committed to the health care industry, Dr. Fallon is a member of the Association of Pathology Chairs, the American Medical Association, and the North Carolina Society of Pathologists. He is also a founding member of the Society for Cardiovascular Pathology.
In light of his success, Dr. Fallon received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society for Cardiovascular Pathology. He attributes his medical accomplishments to being in the right place at the right time and having the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional individuals.
