A proud veteran, Mr. Strickland dedicated over a decade of enlisted service in the United States Navy, first at Yorktown Naval Station as a patrol officer from 2007 to 2010, after which he transitioned to Naval Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), as an embark security specialist. Finally, in 2014, he finished his career at Joint Base Charleston as an Anti-terrorism Force Protection Officer, where he made valuable contributions through 2017. During his military tenure, Mr. Strickland completed two tours in Spain, participated in the humanitarian efforts of the 2010 Haiti earthquake and actively participated in additional missions across the United States while fulfilling roles such as vessel board search and seizure team operator, small arms weapons instructor and expeditionary warfare specialist.
Mr. Strickland boasts excellent academic credentials including a Bachelor of Arts in business administration with a specialization in accounting from Saint Leo University. He also remains dedicated to civic service and actively volunteers with youth sports and recreation organizations in the region, and Mr. Strickland serves as a board member of his neighborhood civic league.
