TEMPE, AZ, February 13, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rebecca L. R. Sibberson, MEng, EIT, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in power distribution, Ms. Sibberson has earned distinction as a Reliability Advisor for Arizona Public Service. Since 2022, she has focused her efforts on ensuring the electrical system's protection and reliability while working towards minimizing the number of people affected by any power outage that may occur. She also analyzes past outages to determine the cause of the fault and who was affected and ensures the issue is fixed to prevent it from happening again. She is particularly proud of the Power BI dashboard she created for their outage data, which enables her to connect directly to the outage information system database and automatically import the data to automated troubleshooting pages. Additionally, the dashboard calculates how often customers experience outages and the duration of those outages.

Before her present position, Ms. Sibberson served as an electrical engineer for TRC Companies, Inc. in 2009 and became an Eversource Energy engineer for Distribution Protection and Controls in 2011. Following this period, she served as a Senior Distribution Operations Engineer for Arizona Public Service in 2016. Among her professional accomplishments, she was honored with a Living the Vision Award from Arizona Public Service in 2021 and 2023. Also dedicated to civil advocacy, during her time at Eversource she served as a co-lead for the Special Olympics' opening ceremony committee, ensuring the correct individuals were included in the script and in charge of running the 50- and 100-yard short course for the snowshoeing event.

Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Sibberson earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in controls and a minor in psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2009. Following this achievement, she attained a Master of Engineering in Power Systems Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2016.

Within the coming years, Ms. Sibberson intends to put more emphasis on improving and helping others, which in turn will improve her skills and potential.
