Mr. Stokely also provides classes, seminars and clinics for players of all levels both in person and online.
Considered the one of the greatest distance throwers of all time, Scott Stokely held multiple Guinness World Records. Mr. Stokely is the only person to have held the records for both backhand and sidearm distance. He was also recognized in the Guinness Book of World Record as the first player to throw a flying disc the milestone distance of 200 meters in 1995.
Mr. Stokely authored the first instructional text and video series regarding disc golf throwing techniques in 2001. In 2020, he published "Scott Stokely: Growing Up Disc Golf" his autobiographical book that parallels his life with the history and expansion of disc golf. In 2022, at age 52, Scott competed in the biggest money skins match in disc golf history, beating out three other renowned competitors. The prize was won with a single legendary throw which became the subject of the award-winning documentary "Not Just A Shot - A Disc Golf Story". In 2024, Mr. Stokely will produce a vlog-style reality show named Stokely's Longest Drive about the Disc Golf Pro Tour and what it is like running his disc golf businesses. Mr. Stokely presently teaches, earns royalties from numerous sponsorships and endorsements, and is a manufacturer of products for the sport of disc golf. In addition to his other ventures, Mr. Stokely plans to continue competing in Pro Open tournaments and spreading awareness of the sport abroad, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America. He also continues to pioneer Adaptive Disc Golf methods having provided over 280 free classes for disc golfers with special needs. Since 2020, Mr. Stokely has donated 100% of his prize money to support disc golf growth overseas and to Autism and Special Needs organizations. Moreover, Mr. Stokely is eager to grow his newly established golf disc manufacturing business.
