Ms. Hernandez-Truitt's educational background includes a Master of Science in landscape design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. Throughout the course of her career, she found inspiration in the late Diana Balmori, the founder of Balmori Associates, who not only served as her mentor but also authored books on the subject of landscape architecture, including "Drawings and Reinventing Landscape," which features some of Ms. Hernandez-Truitt's landscape drawings.
Ms. Hernandez-Truitt came of age in Mexico before immigrating to the United States. Her avocations include cooking and spending time with her family. She is the proud mother of two sons, and her husband, Bob, who is a chef in Philadelphia.
