Following this time, he was a senior analyst for Westrock Capital Partners, LLC in 2009. He subsequently worked as an investment portfolio manager and vice president of mergers and acquisitions for Bear State Financial Inc. in 2014 until the company was acquired by Arvest Bank in 2018, at which point he became a vice president and portfolio manager for fixed income.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Monkam earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Yaoundé II in Cameroon in 2002. Following this achievement, he attained a master's degree in economics from the same institution in 2003 and gained a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2007. Well-qualified in his field, he is a chartered financial analyst and has served on the Board of Directors of the CFA Society Arkansas for seven years including three years as president.
