Prior to her current role, Dr. Yucel served as a mediator and communication coach at Senti Biosciences since 2020, where she continues to contribute her expertise. From 2020 to 2022, she was a scientist II at the same institution. Her foundational experience includes an extensive postdoctoral research scholarship at the Stanford University School of Medicine from 2008 to 2014, where she honed her skills in oncology and cancer biology. Dr. Yucel also enriched her business acumen as a Stanford Ignite Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2013. Her academic journey began as a graduate student at New York University from 2002 to 2008, where she also took on roles as head teaching assistant in 2005 and teaching assistant from 2002 to 2004. Further back, she was a graduate student at Orta Dogu Teknik Üniversitesi/Middle East Technical University from 1998 to 2001.
Dr. Yucel's educational background is impressive and has been instrumental in her professional achievements. She earned a certificate from Stanford Ignite at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2013 and completed her postdoctoral research fellowship at the Stanford University School of Medicine from 2008 to 2013. Dr. Yucel received her Doctor of Philosophy in developmental genetics from New York University in 2008 and her master's degree in the same field from New York University in 2005. Additionally, she holds a master's degree in immunology from Orta Dogu Teknik Üniversitesi/Middle East Technical University, obtained in 2001, and a bachelor's degree in biology from Ankara University.
