Mr. Clift opened his psychotherapy practice, Connexus Services, in 2008, and has since expanded it with coaching services such as trainings, retreats, 1:1 sessions, and team development He currently meets with about 20 coaching clients 1:1 (all virtually), and spends the remainder of his time in program development, writing, speaking, and consulting activities. Previous to launching his own practice, he worked and volunteered for a variety of human service organizations. In the early 2000s, he sat on several national committees working to provide an empowered forum for young adult and other marginalized voices within religious organizations. He also worked as a statewide coordinator for the Minnesota Cultural Education Dynamics Program, which was successful in expanding the knowledge and awareness of educators across the state about the communities they served. After transitioning from his community work to working predominantly with individuals and small groups, Mr. Clift was a group facilitator at WINGS, which offers therapist-facilitated group support to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Mr. Clift received a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Houghton College in 1998 and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado in 2008. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, he has completed innumerous trainings and certifications related to mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health, growth, and development.
