Overseeing various locations, Dr. Masry is responsible for ensuring proper medical and psychiatric care to all patients by collaborating with directors, administrators, and other personnel while promoting patient self-recovery to facilitate discharge and prevent them from harm in the future.
Aside from his work at Ancora, Dr. Masry has been the medical director at Harmony Bay and Wellness since 2021 and at All In Solutions Counseling Center since 2019. He has also been the director of psychiatric services at Lighthouse Recovery Center since 2016, providing clinical psychiatric assistance and crisis management at one of the organization's six locations. Moreover, Dr. Masry has maintained his private practice since 2012, focusing on addiction and adult psychiatry by offering holistic approaches to treating patients.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Masry has been an assistant professor at Rowan University in the school of osteopathic medicine in Stratford, New Jersey, since 2011. With a particular focus on addiction medicine, he teaches students via clinical shadowing and other methods and participates in lecture series. Dr. Masry formerly taught as an assistant professor of psychiatry in the department of psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts from 2007 to 2011.

In preparation for his career, Dr. Masry received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Cairo University. He subsequently completed a residency in internal medicine and psychiatry at Saint Francis Medical Center, a residency in psychiatry at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center and Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center, and a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Furthermore, Dr. Masry received board certification in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He also garnered medical licenses in over a dozen states and is presently licensed in Arizona, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida.
Dr. Masry remains active in his professional community. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association. He is also a member and past president of the New Jersey Society of Addiction Medicine. The American Psychiatric Association notably recognized Dr. Masry in 2018 as a distinguished fellow.
