Before starting his professional journey, Dr. Tejeda earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine from Fordham University and a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Texas–Pan American and physician assistant certification from The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Subsequently, he received a doctoral degree in healthcare administration science from the Medical University of South Carolina, a master's degree in legal studies from Washington University St. Louis School of Law, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and Dr. Tejeda has completed certifications in health economics through Harvard, as well as a certificate in leadership skills for managers through the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Tejeda aligns himself with the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Academy of Physician Associates, the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Advisory Board, and many other healthcare professional organizations. He is also a member of the Alpha Eta Honor Society, and the Upsilon Phi Delta Society in Healthcare Management.
