BRAVE Coalition Foundation Appoints New Board Members Heidi Herrick, Ronald Cosmas, and Tina Kovacevic

    SAN ANTONIO, TX, March 06, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- BRAVE Coalition Foundation, the first 501(c)3 organization to promote education and awareness of resources for breast cancer survivors regarding breast reconstruction options is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Board Members – Heidi Herrick, Executive Recruiter at FloodGate Medical, Ronald Cosmas, Chief Commercial Officer at GC Aesthetics, and Tina Kovacevic, Founder, Selenica Enterprises, LLC.

Heidi Herrick has helped connect job seekers and hiring managers in meaningful and profitable ways for the last 15+ years. As a breast cancer survivor, she has also served as a BRAVE Ambassador and chairs an annual FloodGate fundraising event for BRAVE. Heidi will pair her formidable connecting skills with her immeasurable commitment to helping breast cancer survivors to the BRAVE Board.

"While we have not found a cure for breast cancer, we should come alongside survivors who simply want to feel whole again; giving them the tools to know their options, equipping them to make informed decisions, and advocating for them with providers and payers. As a BRAVE Board Member, I will leverage my 15+ years of experience connecting people throughout the MedTech community, to build awareness, which we hope leads to action," said Heidi Herrick.

Ronald Cosmas is a C-Suite visionary who excels at leading change, directing growth, and building successful sales organizations. During his 25 years in the aesthetics business, Ronald has devoted his career to restoring the lives of breast cancer survivors. He will be instrumental in fundraising to ensure BRAVE can deliver impactful services.

"As a husband and father of 3 girls, I am acutely aware of the effects that breast cancer has on the lives and families of 1 in 8 women globally," said Ronald Cosmas. "It has been my privilege to work with leading surgeons and scientists and walk with patients as they embark on this life-changing journey. As a passionate advocate of patient education, I was humbled when asked to join the BRAVE board. Until we find a cure for this disease, it is my mission to empower women with the appropriate resources and support needed for their recovery."

Tina Kovacevic has over 20 years of leadership in accounting, finance, business & system integration, business optimization, and process improvement. With her medical device background and personal commitment to breast cancer survivors, she will bring solid financial processes and planning to BRAVE to ensure the organization can optimize its operational objectives.

"The breast cancer journey continues long after the cancer treatment ends. BRAVE empowers all women to feel whole and confident in their reconstruction options," said Tina Kovacevic. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and only around 30% will receive breast restoration rights and options.
