Before joining Potential Motors, he was an independent advisor for Project Re:Car at Re:Build Manufacturing from 2022 to 2024, where he played a pivotal role in advising on automotive manufacturing projects. From 2015 to 2020, he had the opportunity to work in education as the chief operating officer at Oakland University, overseeing the university's operational strategies.
Before pivoting into education, Mr. Kunselman enjoyed a successful tenure at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, marked by progressive leadership roles, from senior vice president of engineering and product development in 2009 to senior vice president of vehicle safety and regulatory compliance between 2014 and 2015. He also garnered significant expertise in various positions at Chrysler Motors Corporation from 1985 to 2000, including as the vice president of truck and jeep platform vehicles, as the director of vehicle development for truck platform vehicles, and as a product engineer during his earlier years. Throughout his career in the industry, Mr. Kunselman's most rewarding position included serving as the chief engineer for Ram Trucks at Chrysler Motors Corporation from 2005 to 2008, where he led the development of a new line of vehicles that significantly increased the company's market share.
Aside from his extensive expertise in the automotive sector, Mr. Kunselman has been an advisory board member at Caresoft Global since 2019, offering his vast knowledge to enhance the organization's operations. He has also been instrumental as a board member at Promethient Inc. since 2017.
