Before establishing SINOTALKS®, Dr. Gechlik founded Stanford Law School's China Guiding Cases Project. As the project's director, she oversaw a team of 200 in bringing project analyses contributed by United States and Chinese judges and officials to nearly 250,000 from over 100 countries. During the early stages of her career, she gained valuable expertise as an associate with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a think tank based in Washington D.C., a visiting fellow with Stanford University's Hoover Institution, a Chinese law and business professor for Stanford University, and a tenured law professor in Hong Kong. Similarly, Dr. Gechlik has lent her considerable expertise to universities worldwide, including Harvard Law School, Renmin University in Beijing, Peking University, and the University of Vienna.
An expert in her field, Dr. Gechlik earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hong Kong before establishing herself in her field. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a Master of Laws through American University's Washington College of Law, a Master and Doctor of the Science of Law from Stanford Law School, and an MBA in finance from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted as a barrister in England, Wales, and Hong Kong and is a member of the Bar in New York and the District of Columbia.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the business world, Dr. Gechlik aligns herself with the National Small Business Association leadership council. In recognition of her professional achievements, she was named by Women Leaders Magazine as one of the 20 most inspiring women leaders in 2022. Additionally, SINOTALKS® was honored as the Most Trusted Law and Policy Information Provider by The Enterprise World. As a student, she received the two-year Joseph Wharton/Sheldon K. Tsu Scholarship and Stanford University's two-year full "Asia-Pacific" scholarship.
