Prior to her current role, Dr. Uribe worked as a western market manager for business banking merchant payment solutions for Wells Fargo until becoming the executive vice president for Comerica Bank in 2007. She continued her career as the executive vice president for business and personal banking for California Bank and Trust in 2011 and served as the managing director for JPMorgan Chase and Co. in 2020 for 2.5 years.
Among her professional accomplishments, for the last five years Dr. Betty® has been named one of the Most Influential Latinos by Latino Leaders Magazine and Top 50 Most Powerful Latina by Fortune Magazine and the Association of Latino Professionals for America. She was named among the Top 50 Most Influential Leaders by the Los Angeles Business Journal 2018-2022, and was also recognized as a Distinguished Alumna by Pepperdine University in 2018. To prepare for her professional journey, Dr. Uribe earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in business from San Diego State University in 1988. Following this achievement, she attained a Master of Business Administration in finance and strategy from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School in 2001, an advanced professional degree in Banking from University of Virginia in 2003, and a doctorate in organizational leadership with honors from the Pepperdine University School of Education and Psychology in 2012. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by St. Mary's University in 2019.
