Having earned distinction with the Lee Tessier Team since 2015, prior to that Mr. Johnsen honed his skills in new home sales as Senior Sales and Marketing Representative with Ryan Homes from 2009 to 2015. His career commenced in 2008 with The Bozzuto Group, where he served as a Sales and Service Associate until 2009.
Throughout his career, Mr. Johnsen has been recognized for his exceptional customer service and dedication to client satisfaction. His attentiveness and commitment to ensuring smooth transactions have allowed him to facilitate these deals upwards of 500 times over the past 15 years, marking significant milestones in his professional journey. Mr. Johnsen's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in business from Randolph-Macon College, earned in 2008. During this time, his achievements were acknowledged with the Compton Memorial Top Scholar Award at Randolph-Macon College and induction into Phi Beta Kappa Society. His entry into the real estate sector was propelled by his initial involvement in new home sales shortly after graduating college, where he sold nearly 130 homes before meeting Lee Tessier and transitioning to the resale market.
In recognition of his professional excellence, Mr. Johnsen has received numerous accolades, including being named one of the 10 Best Real Estate Agents for Maryland by the American Institute of Real Estate Agents in 2018. He was also honored as the Sales Person of the Year in 2012 by the Home Builders Association of Maryland - Sales and Marketing Council. Outside of the real estate field, Mr. Johnsen was recognized as an Academic All-American on the USLAA All-American Lacrosse Team by US Lacrosse and received a myriad of other commendations, including a Governor's Citation, a Howard County Honorary Resolution, a U.S. Congressional Achievement Award, and recognition as an Eagle Scout in 2005.
Outside of his career endeavors, Mr. Johnsen finds joy in spending time with his family and engaging in woodworking. Looking ahead, he aims to grow his direct team by recruiting additional members to support him in residential real estate sales. With plans to expand his team's size and capabilities, he envisions selling at least 250 homes per year within the next five years, aiming for an annual sales volume of around $100 million.
