After earning a master's degree in chemistry and physics from Babes-Bolyai University, Mr. Moldovan came to the United States from Romania without speaking English. For two years, he worked numerous jobs in different factories before being hired as a technician in an environmental engineering lab, where he served for the next year and a half. Subsequently, he spent over a decade as a chemist for a company that manufactures detergent for the car wash industry. In 1997, Mr. Moldovan left that company and purchased seven carwashes. Over the years, he ran the business and acquired seven additional car washes.
Backed by years of varied experience, Mr. Moldovan excels as the owner, president, and chief executive officer of QualChem, LLC, which manufactures products for the carwash and transportation industry. As the managing partner, he works alongside his daughter, who controls daily operations and liaises with the sales team regarding new accounts. Outside of his work, Mr. Moldovan volunteers in his community through his church and Snow Angels, which assists seniors during the winter.
Due to his vast breadth of experience, Mr. Moldovan published an article in a German publication. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in establishing his business and developing unique products. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to getting into the carwash industry and creating his own blend of detergents. Looking ahead, Mr. Moldovan intends to continue promoting his products and brainstorming for new products and ideas.
