In 1993, she notably founded the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association in recognition of a growing need for support services for these patients and their families on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She has served as a president for seven years, past president, a member of its board of directors and has volunteered for over 30 years. Over the past 10 years, she was the captain of Team ERA for the Salisbury Walk to End Alzheimer's and the team has raised over $260,000. Ms. Evans was also appointed to the Wicomico County Commission by the Wicomico County Council in 2022 for a three-year term. In this capacity, she collaborates with experts on senior-related issues within the community. Passionate about community service, Ms. Evans enjoys participating in church work. She is also involved with numerous nonprofits through her real estate firm, including Women Supporting Women and Habitat for Humanity International, and by supporting local homeless efforts. Moreover, she gave back as a live auction chair for six years for the St. Paddy's Day Race to benefit MAC Inc. Area Agency on Aging, Dementia Services and Programs.
