Through her involvement with this child's integration into community activities and the Special Olympics, Ms. Galimba became an advocate for children with special needs and their families, forming a support group. This experience was instrumental in the conception of Sunshine Projects Foundation, Inc., which she co-founded with Jon Yune following the identification of a gap in community programs for young adults with special needs.
Ms. Galimba's illustrious career is underpinned by her academic pursuits. In 2001, she earned an Associate of Arts in communication and media studies from Columbia School of Broadcasting, preceded by a Bachelor of Science in commerce from Saint Louis University in Baguio City, Philippines, which she obtained in 1989.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Galimba is involved in various fundraising and event development efforts. Her affiliations include The Montgomery Cheetahs, SOMO Joy Cheerleaders, and Best Buddies International.
