Having begun her professional journey at Southern Methodist University in 1991, Dr. Ford was the director of the Center for Statistical Consulting and Research. She then served as the research director at Service Strategies Inc. before advancing to senior vice president at Decision Analyst Inc. Dr. Ford's leadership skills were also honed as the executive vice president at The Modellers LLC. Following this tenure, she spent another 1o years as a methodological and statistical consultant at Rook Solutions, collaborating with marketing research and marketing consulting clients to establish methodological and analytical approaches to research requests.
Dr. Ford's career is marked by significant achievements, including collaboration with the U.S. Army while employed by The Modellers LLC. Meanwhile, her work with high-ranking officials at the Pentagon involved advising on strategic resource allocation and enhancing national defense capabilities. Earlier in her career, Dr. Ford was also instrumental in a significant project during the 1990s that was transitioned to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Her role was pivotal in providing essential legwork in organizing information, known as the "Cindy Ford Project." She subsequently began conducting training sessions for government personnel at FDIC offices in support of this critical information.
Building upon a solid educational foundation, Dr. Ford earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics in 1984 and a Master of Science in applied mathematics in 1985 from Baylor University. She continued her academic pursuits at Southern Methodist University, where she obtained a Master of Science in statistical science in 1988 and a Doctor of Philosophy in statistical science in 1991.
As part of her continued professional commitments, Dr. Ford is a member of the American Statistical Association. She is also an affiliate member of the American Association for University Women and a member and former conference organizing committee chair of the advanced research techniques forum of the American Marketing Association.
