In addition to his position as an adjunct instructor at Clark University since 2017, he served as an online adjunct instructor at the University of Alabama in Huntsville from 2016 to 2019. Before his current roles, he held numerous roles in higher education, including at Hawaii Pacific University, Marquette University, and the University of Southern Indiana, beginning in 1993. Throughout this period, he also built upon his expertise in management and information systems in the private sector as the chief information officer at Akahi Services in Pearl City, Hawaii from 2006 to 2010 and as the certification manager at ProsoftTraining.com in Austin, Texas, from 1997 to 2001.
Dr. Sodeman's extensive experience is underpinned by his academic credentials: beginning at the College of William & Mary, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in fine arts in 1986, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the Roy E. Crummer Hall & Bush Executive Center at Rollins College in 1988. He studied at the C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, graduating with a business administration and management doctorate in 1993.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Sodeman is actively involved with several relevant organizations, including the Association for Talent Development, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Academy of Management, and the OnCon Senior Council, where he engages with peers on current industry challenges and best practices.
