He was a member of the food operations management team for the 2001 World Figure Skating Championship in Vancouver Canada and the 2000 Opening Team for Cincinnati Bengals NFL Stadium. He also had tenure at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, beginning in 1989, and his service as an Operations Chief of Marine Corps Exchange from 1983 to 1987. Additionally, his leadership as Student Body Treasurer at Taft College from 1980 to 1982 exemplifies his early commitment to financial stewardship and community involvement.

He is currently the Board President Emeritus for Keep California Beautiful after serving as Board President and Executive Director since 2012.
