After establishing her law office in 2018, Ms. Sharek expanded from being a solo attorney to hiring her first employee in 2021. Prior to establishing her own firm, Ms. Sharek applied her knowledge and legal expertise at a large firm in downtown Pittsburgh. There, she worked as an attorney from 2012 to 2017. She acquired substantial experience after initially gaining exposure to the legal practice as a legal assistant, a position she held from 2007 to 2012 while pursuing her degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in political science, which she earned from Westminster College in 2008, and a Juris Doctor, which she received from Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University in 2012.
While studying law, Ms. Sharek's early professional experience included honing her skills as a law clerk for John W. Giltinan, Esq., PC, from 2011 to 2012 and contributing to the academic community as a graduate assistant for the Office of Greek Life at Duquesne University from 2008 to 2011. Coupled with her educational and professional experiences, her authentic approach and heart-centered philosophy have been instrumental in building long-term relationships with clients, which ultimately contributed to her success in transitioning from a solo attorney to a business owner. Along with her paid legal offerings, Ms. Sharek takes on pro bono work and conducts presentations for the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation, a Pittsburgh-based public health organization aimed at improving the health of the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Sharek is actively involved in charitable work with organizations such as the Brave Women Project and volunteers for A Night to Remember, which hosts proms for those with special needs and disabilities.
