    HUNTINGTON WOODS, MI, April 10, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lynne Master has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Master is renowned as the owner and director of Learning Disabilities Clinic Inc., a role she has held since 1967. Under her leadership, the clinic has become a beacon of hope and progress for individuals with special needs. The clinic provides comprehensive services to children and adults with various impairments, including cognitive, emotional, and speech and language challenges. In her role, Ms. Master oversees a dedicated team of professionals who deliver personalized care and education to their clients.

Apart from managing the clinic, Ms. Master has served as a certified quality assurance review chairperson for the North Central Association. She is also accredited by AdvanceEd and Cognia. Additionally, she has been the director of the Learning Development Center, a nonprofit education center dedicated to keeping students from becoming high school drop-outs, as well as assisting undereducated and unemployable military veterans, since 2007, furthering her commitment to educational excellence. Ms. Master's expertise spans gifted education, learning disabilities, test-taking strategies for various standardized tests, study skills, and more. Ms. Master works with Michigan Rehabilitation Services through the State of Michigan to help adults with learning challenges go from welfare to work.

Ms. Master has been active professionally by consulting and lecturing internationally and conducting in-service training for hospitals, school districts, mental health agencies, the United Auto Workers, and the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor, and Economic Growth. She has a syndicated column that has garnered attention in nearly a dozen different newspapers, and she is a frequent guest on Detroit radio and television. Moreover, Ms. Master has been affiliated with numerous professional boards, including CH.A.D.D., the Gibson School for the Gifted, and The Children's Center.

During her tenure in education, Ms. Master was a corrective reading consultant for the School District of Highland Park, Michigan. She was also a graduate teaching faculty member at her alma mater, Wayne State University, in the college of education, department of clinical psychology. In this capacity, she trained special education teachers and school psychologists to diagnose and correct learning disorders. As part of federal law, Ms. Master provides compensatory education for special needs students when their school districts are unable to provide an appropriate education to them.

Ms. Master spent many years involved in various civic initiatives. Among them, she was active as the president and a member of the board of governors for the International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism. As a pioneer of Humanistic Judaism, she was president of the Birmingham Temple, the very first congregation of Humanistic Jews in Michigan, the president of the Society for Humanistic Judaism, the organization responsible for creating groups around the country, the president of the International Institute of Humanistic Judaism, which was charged with training and initiating rabbis and other leadership figures within the faith, and co-chair of the North American Federation of Secular and Humanistic Jews. Considered the fourth branch of Judaism, Humanistic Judaism follows a belief in the ethics, history and culture of the Jewish people. She also served on the committee for special education for the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.

Ms. Master's academic background laid the foundation for her professional achievements. She studied at Wayne State University, earning a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education in clinical psychology. Ms. Master remains active professionally as a member of several leading industry-related organizations, including the Learning Disabilities Association of Michigan, the Michigan Association of Learning Disabilities Educators, the Michigan Brain Injury Providers Council, and the Michigan Inter-Professional Association. She is also a charter member of the Education Industry Leadership Board, comprising a group of leaders and innovators actively engaged in shaping the future of education, and a past president of the Education Industry Association. She was also vice chair of the American Civil Liberties Union of Oakland County and president of the Greenacres Woodward Association. Further, Ms. Master served on the board of directors for The Children's Center, serving as chair of a special task force that studied the effects of gambling on children and families.

In recognition of her dedication and impact on the community, Ms. Master received a proclamation from the City of Oak Park, Michigan, for her contribution to the citizens of Oak Park. Currently in her 80s, Ms. Master is continuing her work. She hopes that through her career, she will continue to impact the lives of children throughout the country.
