Dedicated to his country, he also served as a nuclear electrician onboard submarines in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. A nationally registered paramedic, he expanded his professional knowledge by becoming a master training specialist through the U.S. Navy and a master project manager through PMGRI. Similarly, Mr. Phillips completed bachelor's degree work in electrical and nuclear engineering through the U.S. Navy.
Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, Mr. Phillips has authored several articles in professional publications, including "Selection Considerations: Hardened Glass vs. Polymer Insulator," "Alternatives in Combining Key Processes on Large Energy Project," and "River Bank Foundation Design & Construction." Likewise, he has served as an adjunct professor teaching advanced engineering and construction classes. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Phillips takes the most pride in obtaining a leadership role in the military, an experience that he carried through all his professional roles.
