Among his past accomplishments in the field of legal service, he is most proud to have been elected as the city attorney of Defiance, Ohio, in 1972.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Goldenetz maintains diverse interests, including music appreciation and political discourse. His passion for writing has been a consistent thread throughout his legal career, and he plans to further cultivate this talent by transitioning towards authorship and political commentary; he currently has a half dozen books in some stage of production. While he anticipates retirement from law practice at some point, Mr. Goldenetz remains committed to addressing complex legal issues that his clients cannot resolve independently and contributing to political discussions through his writing.
A dedicated civic leader, Mr. Goldenetz spent over 50 years as a loyal member of Rotary International. He also served as a board member on the Williams County Community Concert Association, and held positions of leadership within his church for five decades.
In preparation for his career in law, Mr. Goldenetz received a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Northern University in 1964 and a Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University in 1969. These academic foundations have been instrumental in shaping a career marked by integrity and excellence.
As part of his continued commitments to the legal realm, Mr. Goldenetz is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, through which he received special recognition as a 50-year member. Mr. Goldenetz has been married to Mary since 1965. They have two children, Mike and Angela, as well as two grandchildren.
