Ms. Washington initially began her career working at the St. Malachy's Child Development Center, followed by several internship positions at such organizations as, the Federation Employment and Guidance Health and Human Services, and the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. Subsequently, she served as a case manager at the Institute for Community Living Inc. Borden Avenue Veterans Residence. Between 2013 and 2017, she garnered expertise as an educational paraprofessional at the New York City Department of Education. Following this post, Ms. Washington excelled as a child protective specialist at the New York City Administration for Children's Services, and as a client care coordinator at the Home Life Services Inc.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Washington pursued an education at York College from the City University of New York, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in social work in 2009. She continued her academic efforts at Fordham University, earning a Master of Science in Social Work in 2011. As a commitment to her field, Ms. Washington has been licensed as a clinical social worker via the New York State Education Department in 2021.
