Looking back over his impressive tenure with the Farm Service Agency, Mr. Schettler recalls a career marked by innovative solutions and steadfast dedication to agricultural support and compliance. Of his many professional achievements, he is particularly proud of receiving, in 2007, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture's Award for his exceptional work in verifying compliance with conservation reserve program contracts.

Mr. Schettler's academic background laid the foundation for his successful career. He earned an associate degree in biomedical electronics from the Community Colleges of Spokane, completing his studies in 1981. This education has undoubtedly contributed to his proficiency in handling complex technical systems within his professional endeavors.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Schettler has been recognized with several awards that reflect his multifaceted talents and contributions outside the workplace. These accolades include Performance Awards, Umpire Awards from a local umpire association, and the prestigious Firefighter of the Year award in 1983.

Today, Mr. Schettler envisions retirement on the horizon. He is currently mentoring a trainee, imparting decades of knowledge and experience to ensure a smooth transition within the Farm Service Agency. As he contemplates his next steps in life, Mr. Schettler remains committed to exploring new opportunities and interests that await him post-retirement, and he looks forward to spending more time with both his son and grandson.
