Ronald H. Alexander, MAS, Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Alexander's military career in aviation began to take shape after joining the Civil Air Patrol at age 13.

Recently retired, Mr. Alexander concluded his long and successful career in military operations and aviation in 2023 as a business development manager for RMCI Inc. In this capacity, he was responsible for significant advertisements and arranging aircraft shows throughout the year.

Recognized as a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, the Huntsville, Alabama, based organization is well-known in the industry for having the most experienced helicopter health monitoring team in the world and for serving as a global leader in advanced HUMS technology. RMCI Inc. is presently working with Japan for its commercial and military aircraft.

Having leveraged a lengthy military and civilian background, Mr. Alexander is a former master army aviator and expert in advanced avionics for special operations and army programs, including the CH-47F program. Additionally, he has excelled in close air support and joint fires, aircraft maintenance, and failure predictions. Mr. Alexander retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service as lieutenant colonel. His last position was in the 78th Aviation Battalion Command at Camp Zama, Japan, from 1994 to 1997. He flew UH-1 Iroquois military helicopters, Black Hawks, C-12 Hurons, and CH-47Fs, accumulating over 3,500 hours of flight time. Additionally, Mr. Alexander had the opportunity to teach as a PMS and T-41 instructor and serve as an air officer commanding at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Following his military service, Mr. Alexander held various positions, including as a resource and financial manager for the Joint Close Air Support and Joint Fires at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, and in aviation pilot monitoring for the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., Iraq, and Afghanistan. Before joining RMCI Inc., Mr. Alexander was an aviation contracting officer representative for the U.S. Department of State at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, managing aircraft program depot maintenance and significant contracts for the Air Wing.

Mr. Alexander's civic involvement includes serving with the Civil Air Patrol as a cadet squadron commander at Ellington Field, Texas. He also remains a member of the Disabled American Veterans and has notably donated two vehicles to the organization to support various causes.

Mr. Alexander's military career in aviation began to take shape after joining the Civil Air Patrol at age 13. He also gained inspiration from his father, a pilot. By age 16, Mr. Alexander had begun flying solo, receiving his private pilot's license one year later.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Alexander received a Bachelor of Science in military science from Oklahoma State University in 1976, a Master of Science in aeronautical science, with distinction, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1982, and a Master of Science in army tactics and logistics operations from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in 1988.

As part of his commitments in the industry, Mr. Alexander has been recognized as a life member of the Army Aviation Association of America since 1979. He has also been a member and former chapter president of the Camp Zama, Japan, branch of the Army Aviation Association of America. Mr. Alexander was decorated with a Legion of Merit and Meritorious Service Medal.
