Mr. Rottboll's entrepreneurial spirit was first exemplified during his tenure as the head of secretariat at the Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster from 2009 to 2012. There, he was instrumental in founding and constructing what became the largest cleantech organization in Denmark and Europe. Mr. Rottboll's career journey includes serving as a head of the Cleantech department at Copenhagen Capacity, Copenhagen's Foreign Direct Investment agency between 2007 and 2009. He also found success as a consultant and advisor for globalization and organization development at The Confederation of Danish Industries from 2003 to 2007. Mr. Rottboll's foundational experience in international affairs began with a stagiaire position at the European Commission between 2002 and 2003.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Rottboll earned a bachelor's degree in forest science in 2000, followed by a master's degree in forest science with a focus on international affairs from Copenhagen University in 2002. The same year, he finished a degree in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School. In addition to his education, Mr. Rottboll honorably served his country in the Army as a Royal Life Guard for the Royal Family of Denmark for one year, an experience that contributed to his disciplined approach to business and leadership.
Beyond his professional life, he is actively involved with cultural initiatives, plays the piano, enjoys skiing and hiking, and has participated in the Scout movement his entire life.
