LUCAS VALLEY, CA, April 25, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- F. Isabel Campoy has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Born on June 24, 1946, to Maria and Diego Campoy, Isabel Campoy grew up in a trilingual environment (Spanish, Catalan and English). Her father, a professor of English, instilled a love for multiculturalism and fostered her to apply for an American Field Service Scholarship in 1963. Over the years, she learned to study, analyze, and appreciate different cultures and languages, a field that supported her further work. After earning her Licenciatura degree and Master of Arts in philology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, she furthered her language studies in Reading, England and as a Fulbright Scholar at UCLA. Isabel Campoy began her career in publishing as a senior sponsoring editor for Houghton Mifflin in Boston.

Backed by years of professional expertise, Isabel Campoy excels as a researcher, author, translator, educator and a vibrant speaker in these areas. Her work has been published by companies such as Simon & Schuster, Harper Collins, Charlesbridge, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Frog Street, Vista Highter Learning, and Velázquez Press, among others. Likewise, she is the president and publisher of Mariposa Transformative Education. Throughout her career, Isabel Campoy has authored over 200 titles of children's literature and education in English and Spanish. Published in 2024 the 50 books FARO collection, co-authored with Alma Flor Ada, includes some of her most recent titles. Isabel Campoy is a senior member of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language [ANLE] which established the Campoy-Ada Children's Literature Award in the Spanish language in the United States.

Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Campoy aligns herself with the California Association for Bilingual Education, the National Association for Bilingual Education, the International Literacy Association and the Asociación de Licenciados y Doctores Españoles en Estados Unidos, where she previously served as president. She has consistently presented as a major speaker at national and international conferences.

Isabel Campoy's experience as a publisher and author, and her awareness of the significance of the home in children's school success, has led her to devote extensive efforts to promote, nationally and internationally, authorship in educators, students and their families. She looks forward to experiencing the continued success of Spanish language publications to serve the expanding Spanish speaking population in the United States.
