KEYCAMP HOLIDAYS SHUNS SURCHARGING

Keycamp has become the latest operator to announce it will not be passing on additional costs to customers. Better still, it has discounts of up to 40% on its late availability breaks over the summer school holidays.

/24-7PressRelease/ - MANCHESTER, UK, August 03, 2008 - Keycamp has become the latest operator to announce it will not be passing on additional costs to customers. Better still, it has discounts of up to 40% on its late availability breaks over the summer school holidays.

Dave McKenna, marketing manager, comments: "We believe that surcharging is not the way forward, especially in this economic climate when families are hard-pressed. We have a very loyal customer base and look to reward this loyalty wherever possible, so if we've agreed a price with a customer, we will not be adding a surcharge. Yes, the strong Euro and increased fuel charges do put pressure on our costs, but this year, we will absorb these rather than pass them on to customers."

He continues: "As most of our accommodation is owned by us, we have the advantage of not being contracted in, which also gives us a degree of flexibility with our pricing and means that we can actually continue to discount at sites where we still have pockets of availability. Indeed, we currently have several sites, where we're able to offer up to 40% discount on school summer holidays."

One such site is Parc des Alicourts at Pierrefitte-sur-Sauldre in the Loire Valley. A seven day break starting 9 August for a family of two adults and up to five children staying in a Supernova mobile home will cost 695, a saving of over 200. Return Dover-Calais ferry crossings or rail travel are available at a supplement.

Set in beautiful parkland, this spacious site offers the perfect base from which to explore the stunning castles and vineyards for which the region is known, while also boasting a host of facilities and activities, such as an impressive swimming pool complex, crazy golf, archery and kayaking, that ensure fun for all the family.
