Registration Opens for Pacific Marine Expo, the West Coast's Largest Commercial Marine Tradeshow

Registration is now open for the 41st Annual Pacific Marine Expo, which will bring maritime and fishing industry leaders from 40 states and 17 countries to Seattle's Qwest Event Center from November 20-22. The Expo is the only trade event dedicated exclusively to the pacific maritime industry.

Registration is now open for the Expo, which is the only trade event dedicated exclusively to the pacific maritime industry. Admission is free to the exhibit hall, with pre-registration at www.pacificmarineexpo.com.

Pacific Marine Expo serves all aspects of the market, including commercial vessels owners, commercial fishermen, boat builders, workboat operators and seafood processors. Fraser said this year's Expo will feature a keynote address by Dr. James Balsinger, Regional Administrator, Alaska Region, National Marine Fisheries Service. "Marine Fisheries in Transition" will be the topic of Dr. Balsinger's address from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, November 20.

The Expo will offer four conference program tracks: Safety, WorkBoat, Charter Boat and Fisheries/Fisheries Business. Attendees will have the hear about issues including: advances in technology, how to be environmentally friendly, what is happening next with TWIC, U.S. Coast Guard charter boat licensing requirements, next steps in Alaska halibut charter management and much more.

Expo Director Bob Callahan said this year's show will also be a lot of fun for attendees. He said special events this year include the annual Fisherman of the Year Contest, Author's Corner, Model Boats Display, and the Seattle Propeller Club Luncheon. The Show will include a daily happy hour featuring drawings for two tickets to the Sunday, November 23rd Seattle Seahawk's football game against the Washington Redskins, daily drawings for Chevron gas cards and a "Follow the Alaska Trail" card, where attendees could two free airline tickets from Alaska Airlines.
