Douglas L. Milburn Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

He is a 2007 recipient of the Outstanding Associate Architect Award from AIA Central Illinois.



    URBANA, IL, October 11, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Douglas L. Milburn, Associate with Isaksen Glerum Wachter, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of architecture, interior design, planning and community advocacy.

With four years of professional experience, Mr. Milburn specializes in livable communities through design and advocacy. He utilizes his leadership skills by assisting in the development of new designs and related construction services. A 2007 recipient of the Outstanding Associate Architect Award from AIA Central Illinois, he submitted and presented a paper via poster presentation at the 51st IFHP World Congress and attributes his success to his dedication and hard work. In October 2008, Douglas will attend the 52nd IFHP World Congress where he will present his paper "Beyond Affordable." He serves as a chairman for the 40 North | 88 West Boneyard Arts Festival and was the curator and designer for "While the World Passes By," a visual exhibition on poverty hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County, in 2007.

Mr. Milburn received his Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2004. He is a member of the International Federation for Housing and Planning and the American Institute of Architects and sits on the City of Champaign's Historic Preservation Commission as well as the Board of Directors of 40 North | 88 West. He also serves as president of the Anthemios Alumni Association Board of Directors and volunteers for the Champaign Downtown Association. His future goals include becoming a licensed architect and publishing two books.
