Ella Savvon Larson Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

She is a 1988 recipient of the "Volunteer of the Year Award" and "Woman of Achievement Award" presented on October 26, 1989, by the Women's Division of Sylmar Chamber of Commerce.



    SYLMAR, CA, October 12, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ella Savvon Larson, Intermediate Supervisor for Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, emeritus, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for her dedication, leadership, excellent service and devotion to the patients of Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, Sylmar, CA.

A native of Ukraine (formerly Russia) and a World War II survivor, Ms. Larson worked as Intermediate Supervisor of Financial Services in the Emergency Room (PM/night shifts) for 26 years and was responsible for managing patient registration, regulating compliance and supervising non-medical staff. She attained her position in 1975 and retired on Oct. 15, 2000. In addition to her work as intermediate supervisor, Ms. Larson has volunteered for Olive View Auxiliary from 1979 to the present and is a founding member of the Auxiliary. She is a 1988 recipient of the "Volunteer of the Year Award" and "Woman of Achievement Award" presented on October 26, 1989, by the Women's Division of Sylmar Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Larson attended Florida Southern College and CSUN University in Northridge, CA, majoring in Business Administration. She married her college sweetheart and is the mother of two sons and a daughter. She was widowed in October of 1988. She is past-president of Olive View Auxiliary, 1988-1989, and presently serves as Chair-Nomination Committee of the Auxiliary Board. She is past-president of the Tri-Valley Area Council, 2003-2004. She sits on the Supervisory Committee of the Olive View Federal Credit Union since 2002 to present. She is a member of the Opera League of Los Angeles, a member of the American Youth Symphony and a member of the Granada Hills Woman's Club. In her spare time, she volunteers for the American Cancer Society and Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, California.
