/24-7PressRelease/ -- The Chicago Filipino American Film Festival is now accepting submissions for Feature Length Films, Short Films, as well as Documentaries and Music Videos. Filipino filmmakers, artists and performers must have their features submitted by September 1, 2009. Unlike other Film Festivals, the CFAFF does not charge an entry fee in order to encourage all upcoming Filipino artists to showcase their talents.
In order to qualify as an Official Selection at the 2009 Chicago Filipino American Film Festival, all entries must have a theme related to Filipino or Filipino American culture, or must have been created, acted, written, directed, or produced by Filipino or Filipino American artists or performers.
Artists may download the entry form at http://cfaff.org/programming/cfaff2009entry.pdf and ship their entries to CFAFF, 516 N. Ogden #151, Chicago, IL 60622.
The Filipino American Network of Chicago will celebrate its 6th Annual Chicago Filipino American Film Festival November 6-8, 2009, at its new home, the historic Portage Theater in Chicago, Illinois.

The primary mission of the festival is to highlight and celebrate the works of emerging Filipino-American filmmakers, as well as cutting-edge cinema from the Philippines. CFAFF is presented by the Filipino American Network (FAN) of Chicago, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Previous years have included acclaimed features, such as Cavite, critically acclaimed Santa Mesa, Dolphy's classic Jack en Jill, Slow Jam King, Blue Hour, Crying Ladies, Magnifico and Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Olivares.
