6W's Chad Lieberman Explains "Changes in Google Algorithms and What It Means for SEO"

Chad Ian Lieberman talks about some Google algorithm update of the past, and what they mean for SEO experts and site owners today.

NEW YORK, NY, March 10, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "As a business site owner, you probably know about SEO and how it can contribute to the success of your online presence," SEO professional and teacher Chad Lieberman said in his opening statement during a recent training event on the practice of SEO.

"According to statistics, more than 80% of all customers use Google to find the products and services that they need. Therefore, it's important to maintain a high ranking position on Google if you are to tap into the advantage presented by gaining the high traffic witnessed in the highest ranking positions," Mr. Lieberman explained.

He further observed that Google has been introducing different tools and technologies geared towards enabling businesses engaging in legitimate SEO to better analyse the performance of their marketing efforts and make relevant adjustments.

These, he said, includes algorithm changes which enable the search engine to provide more relevant results to users and weed out low quality sites using manipulative techniques to make their way to the top. For such shady sites, Google initiated the Penguin and Panda updates, which are link evaluation and content freshness updates respectively.

"The link evaluation update now gives Google the ability to identify the content of a page which has been linked from and to, integrating different factors to come up with more localized search results and determine relationships between the linking websites to know what quality to assign to the link," the SEO expert explained.

With the updates, he explained that users would receive not only the most relevant, but also the most recently updated content in response to search queries. That's not all, he added that Google also included updates to enhance results of travel-related queries, video-based searches, Google Bar updates as well as updated image searches.

Speaking about how the updates would impact the practice of internet marketing, Mr. Chad Lieberman mentioned that now, main focus must on development of high quality and rich content with many organic links, while staying outside of the zone of trouble, since Google can now access deep information about sites to extract information useful for users.

In conclusion, he also advised SEO professionals to be keen because Google would also consider a site's bounce rates and penalise sites with higher rates by lowering their ranking positions. This, he observed, would present a bigger challenge for e-commerce based websites where visitors tend to visit a single page and may exit without following through to make a purchase.

"Where rubber meets the road, Google remains the leading search engine, and SEOs have no choice but to build their strategy around any changes Google makes if they are to witness high rates of success," Chad Lieberman finished off by saying.
