/24-7PressRelease/ - PARIS, FRANCE, October 10, 2005 - This site was created in order to test a new technology that enable to create real-time search engines for a very low cost. Today, it takes search engines some weeks or months to refresh totaly. In fact, they don't have unlimited servers capacities so they can't crawl everyday all the pages stored on their database. Thus, a lot of results of major search engines are outdated (content totaly changed / pages no longer existing). Futhermore, the last web modifications are not visible to most of the internet users.

To achieve our goal, Kelforum.com will index the web normaly. And then, it will be progresively changed in a real-time engine.

The technology choosen to build the engine was the one from Nutch open-source project.
Using an open protocol, we hope to demonstrate easily that our real-time system can be plugged to any commercial search engine.

RetSpan is a french association proposing and promoting solutions against online piracy in Europe.
