E911 Provider Files Request for Extension for VoIP Providers

Telefinity Dash911 asks FCC for extension of November deadline due to hardships faced by VoIP providers due to hurricane damage.

/24-7PressRelease/ - DENVER, CO, October 28, 2005 - Telefinity Dash911, the leading E911 solution for smaller VoIP providers, has filed a Request for Extension with the FCC, requesting a 21-day extension for all of its customers.

The FCC Order requires that all VoIP providers deploy an E911 solution for subscribers by November 28, 2005. Telefinity has requested an extension for its customers "due to the unprecedented damage caused by hurricanes Katrina, Rita and now Wilma" which has caused administrative hardships and infrastructure disruptions for many smaller VoIP companies.

Telefinity believes that the FCC has an obligation to recognize the impact that these unprecedented natural disasters have had on VoIP companies who fully intend to comply with the FCC Order, but are facing temporary hardships in doing so.

If the FCC grants the extension, any customer of Telefinity Dash911 will have until December 19, 2005 to comply with the E911 for VoIP Order.

Dash911 offers a complete E911 solution for smaller VoIP porivders with an easy to use interface, and implementation time in as little as three days. Small VoIP providers pay a low implementation fee and a low monthly charge for nationwide coverage in the USA and Canada.
