Archive Systems Announces Virtual Records Center, Release 4.0

New features and enhancements in the latest release of the Virtual Records Center help simplify the records management process.

FAIRFIELD, NJ, March 27, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Archive Systems, Inc., a leading provider of records management services, today announced ASPEN 360 Virtual Records Center (VRC) Release 4.0, a comprehensive, Web-based extension to paper-based records management. The new release includes a new quick file add feature, more advanced search functionality, a streamlining of the administrative functionality, and other enhancements.

The Quick Add feature enables a user to add a file to a box and request it from storage even if they are not using file-level indexing. This broadens a company's ability to take advantage of the VRC's Virtual File Delivery feature. A client can request that the new file be scanned into the VRC's digital repository for instant viewing. Once loaded into the VRC, images remain available to be accessed at any time from any authorized Internet connection.

"We continue to add new features and enhancements to dramatically improve our clients' ability to manage their records. The quick add feature enables clients who aren't doing file-level indexing to take full advantage of our Virtual File Delivery capabilities. We want to provide them with the business-critical information they need in the fastest way possible. This helps accomplish that goal," said Andy Koval, Executive Vice President of Archive Systems.

When conducting a search, VRC users can now find files that include images associated with them. In addition, the search results display the Workorder Number to make it easier to find items by order history. Improvements have been made to the administrative functionality to enable users to restrict access to the VRC based on IP addresses as well. They can also modify how information is displayed in order to provide just the details that they need.

"The new release allows our clients to get the most out of their VRC experience. We will also continue to find new and innovative ways to transition records management from the warehouse to the desktop," Koval added.
