"[The ICCN] is a networking site created from my own network," Resnik said. ICCN was built upon Resnik's personal network. Initially the ICCN was created for Resnik's own peers at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The ICCN increased its network range and was developed into a more extensive platform. The consulting site allows students seeking careers in consulting to collaborate and network on a global level.
The ICCN has received recognition from different publications such as Consulting Magazine and KillerStartups.com. KillerStartups.com informs entrepreneurs about up-and-coming sites through blogging.
Resnik followed the teachings of three books before establishing the ICCN: "The Big Idea" by Donny Deutsch, "The McKinsey Mind" by Ethan Rasiel and Paul Friga and "You Call the Shots" by Cameron Johnson. These readings include interviews with the most powerful people in the business world, providing problem-solving tools and management techniques in entrepreneurship.
