A Great New Chapter-book Series for Children Starts Up That Features Characters That Travel Around the World and That Are From Florida

    The series features fast-paced worldly adventures filled with geography facts and fun, making it a sure hit with parents, teachers, and kids alike.

Author Connie Lee Berry, a former flight attendant for a major airline, thought it would be fun to have a children's book series related to travel so that kids could broaden their knowledge of the world. After years of volunteering in schools and talking with children, she realized that they have a strong fascination with other cultures and continents.

"Most chapter books available today have stories that take place in a school setting, and I thought children would enjoy adventures that take place in a unique setting," Ms. Berry says. "It is human nature to be interested in other parts of the world. I also wanted the series to be educational because young readers enjoy learning about real things."

Miss Berry, who lives in Tampa with her three children and husband, gave the series a realistic twist by having the characters be from her home state of Florida. She even manages to add in references to the state she lived in as a child, Kentucky, and to cubscouting.

Plans are for the third book, Adventure in Africa, and fourth book, Pirates in Paradise, to be released in October of this year.
