The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), celebrating 22 years as "The Organizing Authority ", represents close to 4,000 members with expertise in organizing solutions for individuals and businesses. The Washington, DC Metro Chapter of NAPO (NAPO-WDC) is one of the largest chapters with over 130 members. Local Certified Professional Organizer , Kim Oser recently attended NAPO-WDC's 2008 Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Professional Organizers (MARCPO), where she enhanced her professional organizing skills, and received a wealth of information about the newest organizational products and services. Put It Away! was founded in 2004 by Ms. Oser with the strong desire to help others free up time and space and reduce stress in this hectic world. She saw it a as the perfect outlet for her enthusiasm, organizational skill and creative energy. Prior to founding Put It Away!, Ms. Oser worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for 10 years. Her experiences gave her an understanding of the how illness can impact disorganization and clutter. She also learned the importance of planning and follow-through to reduce confusion and stress. In April 2007, Ms. Oser passed the inaugural Certified Professional Organizer(CPO) exam and is one of only seven CPOs in Maryland. She has been a NAPO-WDC officer for three years and will begin her fourth term in May 2008.
Ms. Oser launched a second business, Need Another You Personal Assistant Services in January 2008. Through her organizing work, she saw a need to help others who want to but can't seem to get it all done. Need Another You offers hourly personal assistant services. Services include computer assistance and training, bill paying, tax preparation, trip/vacation planning, appointment scheduling, among others.
