A royal day out with Superbreak
Celebrate The Queen's Diamond Wedding Anniversary with a royal short break

    /24-7PressRelease/ - June 16, 2007 - 2007 marks the Diamond wedding anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. To mark this momentous occasion, Superbreak has created a special royal themed short break. The special 'Royal Day' package is available from 28 July - 25 September and combines tours of two major royal attractions with overnight accommodation in the heart of the Capital. Visitors will be able to visit the Royal Mews, the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace including a special exhibition and end their visit with a walk along the south side of the garden which offers views of the west front of the palace and the famous lake.

To mark the diamond wedding anniversary, a special exhibition will take place in the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace which will include Princess Elizabeth's magnificent wedding dress and 15-foot tulle veil. All the jewellery worn by the princess on the day or presented to her on her marriage will also be on display.

The "Royal Day" package offers travellers the chance to take in three major attractions in one day then relax afterwards with a night's accommodation at the four-star Jolly Hotel St Ermin's. The tour starts at 1pm on the day of arrival with a visit to The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace which provides a unique opportunity for guests to see the work of the Royal Household department that provides road transport for The Queen and the chance to see the State vehicles including the magnificent Gold State Coach. At 3pm, visitors can experience an audio tour of The State Rooms lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal collection and spend time in the exhibition. The visit ends with a walk along the south side of the 39 acre garden with views of the west front of the Palace and famous lake.

The price of the London short break is 79 per person includes the tours and overnight accommodation on a b/b basis at the four star Jolly Hotel St Ermin's, based on two sharing. Valid any day of the week from 28 July - 25 September.
