RALEIGH, NC, October 21, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Freeman, president and CEO of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities (www.tammylynncenter.org), announces today the 25th A Toast to the Triangle (www.atoasttothetriangle.org) will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at North Carolina State University's McKimmon Center in Raleigh.

A Toast to the Triangle offers guests samples from nearly 40 of the Triangle's finest restaurants, caterers and purveyors of fine wines and specialty beers. Participants have the opportunity to bid on an array of donated items during the event's live and silent auctions. Restaurants also compete in a spirited, yet friendly, competition for one of six "Best in Show" food category awards.

"We are overjoyed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Toast," says Freeman. "The event's success is built upon the continued community support and the tireless efforts of all who volunteer their time."

In 1986, the first A Toast to the Triangle was held to raise funds to build residential facilities at the Tammy Lynn Center. Since then, it has become the signature fundraising event for the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc., which in turn supports the following programs and services of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities: Community Residential, Early Childhood Intervention, Respite Care, and non-Medicaid Day Services. More than 1,200 guests attended the 2009 Toast, helping raise $191,000 for the Center's programs and services.
